At Bronte Family Doctors, we believe the best care happens during a consultation. Seeing your GP provides the opportunity to review your health, ensure your treatment remains appropriate, arrange any necessary investigations, and discuss alternative options or preventative care that may benefit you.

We also understand that life can be busy, and that repeat prescriptions and referrals are an important convenience for many patients. Where clinically appropriate, we offer this service to support continuity of care while respecting your time.

For patients living with one or more chronic health conditions, we encourage you to consider booking a Comprehensive Care Appointment instead. These appointments attract a higher Medicare rebate, resulting in a similar out-of-pocket cost to repeat requests, while providing significantly more time to review your health, medications, referrals, preventative care and long-term management—all within a single appointment.

For eligible patients registered Bronte Family Doctors as your regular practice under MyMedicare, Comprehensive Care Appointments can often be completed via telehealth and are generally available once every three months, making them a convenient and comprehensive way to coordinate your ongoing care.
